How to Update vCard Wizard to Latest Version

There are several steps to take into consideration when updating to the latest vCard Wizard version:

Why is it important to keep the vCard Wizard version up to date?

How to check the current vCard Wizard version number

Step 1. Launch vCard Wizard application. Click the Help button located bottom left of the app and select About from the drop-down menu.

In the About window, you will see the version of the application written on top.

You can also check the vCard Wizard version in Apps and Features.

Step 1. Right-click the Windows Start button and select the Apps and Features option.

Step 2. In the Apps and Features window, locate the 4Team vCard Wizard application and click on it. The version number will be visible there.

You can also check the vCard Wizard version history page. Inside you will see the latest version number at the top of the list.

How to check if an update is available

Step 1. Launch vCard Wizard application. Click the Help button located bottom left of the app and select About from the drop-down menu.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a vCard Wizard web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

If you have the latest version already, there will be nothing new to download.

How to check license validity before updating vCard Wizard to the latest version

It is very important that your vCard Wizard license would be valid if you want to update to the latest vCard Wizard version. If you try to update with an expired license, vCard Wizard will revert to a Free version.

Step 1. Open up your browser and go to the 4Team Members Area page. Log in to your 4Team Members account.

Step 2. Once logged into your account, click the My Activations option located on the left side of the page.

Step 3. On the My Activations page, you will find your activation keys and you will be able to see your license Status.

How to update vCard Wizard to the latest version

There are two most commonly used methods to update vCard Wizard. Updating via vCard Wizard app itself or uninstalling the old vCard Wizard version and installing a new one.

Method #1

Step 1. Launch vCard Wizard application. Click the Help button located bottom left of the app and select About from the drop-down menu.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a vCard Wizard web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

Step 3. Click the Install Update button.

Step 4. A setup file will be downloaded, wait for the download to finish, and run the setup file. If you cannot find where the setup was downloaded, click CTRL+J combination in your browser for the Downloads page to open.

Step 5. Setup will ask if you want to perform an upgrade of vCard Wizard. Click the Yes button.

Step 6. Follow the setup wizard until the installation is complete.

Method #2

The second method involves uninstalling the old vCard Wizard version via Apps and Features and then downloading and installing the latest vCard Wizard version directly from the www.vcardwizard.com website.

Step 1. Uninstall the current 4Team vCard Wizard application you have via Settings > Apps > Select 4Team vCard Wizard application and Uninstall.

Step 2. Visit the vCard Wizard website and click the Download button top of the page.

Step 3. On the Downloads page, click the more Download Links option.

Step 4. Close the Thank you for downloading vCard Wizard popup or subscribe if you haven't already.

Step 5. Select the correct download link for your Outlook bit version. To find out what BIT version Outlook you have, please follow the How to find Outlooks bit version article.

Step 6. A setup file will be downloaded with x64 or _x86 at the end of its name to help you distinguish the setup file from the one downloaded previously. Make sure you run the installation of the new file with a longer name.

Note: x64 is for 64-bit Outlook and x86 is for 32-bit systems.

Step 7. Run the installation file, follow the installation wizard and finish installing the vCard Wizard application.

Tips:

  • It's always a good idea to re-check the vCard Wizard version after an update to make sure it's the latest one.
  • Do not update vCard Wizard to the latest version unless your license is valid.
  • Make sure you install the correct BIT version of vCard Wizard to match the Outlook BIT version.
  • vCard Wizard does not auto-update. Update always needs to be done manually.
