There are several steps to take into consideration when updating to the latest Sync2 Cloud version:

Why is it important to keep the Sync2 Cloud version up to date?
Because of outside factors like Microsoft Outlook or Windows version changes, Google API changes, Sync2 Cloud needs to change as well to keep up. With each new Sync2 Cloud version, new functionalities can be introduced, bugs fixed, and old functionalities discontinued. Most importantly - we do not provide support for old releases as part of our general policy.
Sync2 Cloud's new version releases are not that frequent, they come out every few months unless there is urgency and a need for a patched build.
How to check the current Sync2 Cloud version number
Step 1. Launch the Sync2 Cloud application and in its top menu bar, click help and then select the ABOUT option from the left menu. In the About Window, you will see the version number.
You can also check the Sync2 Cloud version in Apps and Features.
Step 1. Right-click the Windows Start button and select the Apps and Features option.
Step 2. In the Apps and Features window, locate the 4Team Sync2 Cloud application and click on it. The version number will be visible there.
How to check if an update is available
Step 1. Launch the Sync2 Cloud application and on its top menu bar, click help. Then on the left menu, click UPDATE.
Step 2. In the UPDATE window, click the Check for Updates button.
You will be redirected to a Sync2 Cloud web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.
If you have the latest version already, there will be nothing new to download.
You can also check the Sync2 Cloud version history page. Inside you will see the latest version number on top of the list.
How to check license validity before updating Sync2 Cloud to the latest version
It is very important that your Sync2 Cloud license is valid if you want to update to the latest Sync2 Cloud version. If you try to update with an expired license, Sync2 Cloud will revert to a trial version which will last 7 days, so you must purchase a license upgrade if you want to continue using it.
Step 1. Open up your browser and go to the 4Team Members Area page. Log in to your 4Team Members account.
Step 2. Once logged into your account, click the My Activations option located on the left side of the page.
Step 3. On the My Activations page, you will find your activation keys and you will be able to see your license Status.
How to update Sync2 Cloud to the latest version
There are two most commonly used methods to update Sync2: updating via the Sync2 Cloud app itself, or uninstalling the old Sync2 Cloud version and installing a new one.
Method #1
Step 1. Launch the Sync2 Cloud application and on its top menu bar, click help. Select the UPDATE option on the left menu.
Step 2. In the UPDATE window, click the Check for Updates button.
You will be redirected to a Sync2 Cloud web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.
Step 3. Click the Install Update button.
Step 4. A setup file will be downloaded. Wait for the download to finish and run the setup file when ready. If you cannot find where the setup was downloaded, press the CTRL+J combination in your browser for the Downloads page to open.
Step 5. The setup will ask if you want to perform an upgrade of Sync2 Cloud. Click the Yes button.
Step 6. Follow the setup wizard until the installation is complete.
Method #2
The second method involves uninstalling the old Sync2 Cloud version via Apps and Features and then downloading and installing the latest Sync2 Cloud version directly from the cloud.sync2.com website.
Step 1. Uninstall the current 4Team Sync2 Cloud application you have via Settings > Apps > Select 4Team Sync2 Cloud application and Uninstall.
Step 2. Visit the Sync2 Cloud website and click the FREE DOWNLOAD button in the middle of the page.
Step 3. A setup file will be automatically downloaded - ignore this file. Close the Thank you for downloading popup or subscribe if you haven't already.
Step 4. Click on the Click here link to open more download links.
Step 5. Select the correct download link for your Outlook's bit version.

Step 6. A setup file will be downloaded with _x64 or _x86 at the end of its name to help you distinguish the setup file from the original one downloaded previously. Make sure you run the installation of the new file with a longer name.
Note: x64 is for 64-bit Outlook and _x86 is for 32-bit systems.
Step 7. Run the installation file, follow the installation wizard and finish installing the Sync2 Cloud application.
Tips:
- It's always a good idea to re-check the Sync2 Cloud version after an update to make sure it's the latest one.
- Do not update Sync2 Cloud to the latest version unless your Sync2 Cloud license is valid.
- Make sure you install the correct bit version of Sync2 Cloud to match the Outlook's bit version.
- Do not mistake Sync2 for Sync2 Cloud. Sync2 Cloud is not an update for Sync2, it is a completely separate application.
- Sync2 Cloud does not auto-update. Updates always need to be done manually.
- Never use multiple tools to do the same sync job. Apps will conflict 100% and the result of that will be duplicates or missing data.
