How to check if an update is available

Step 1. Launch the Outlook application. Click on the Duplicate Killer tab in the main Outlook ribbon and click the About button.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a Duplicate Killer web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

If you have the latest version already, there will be nothing new to download.

How to check license validity before updating Duplicate Killer to the latest version

It is very important that your Duplicate Killer license is valid if you want to update to the latest Duplicate Killer version. If you try to update with an expired license, Duplicate Killer will revert to a Free version.

Step 1. Open up your browser and go to the 4Team Members Area page. Log in to your 4Team Members account.

Step 2. Once logged into your account, click the My Activations option located on the left side of the page.

How to update Duplicate Killer to the latest version

There are two most commonly used methods to update Duplicate Killer: updating via the Duplicate Killer app itself, or uninstalling the old Duplicate Killer version and installing a new one.

Method #1

Step 1. Launch the Outlook application. Click on the Duplicate Killer tab in the main Outlook ribbon and click the About button.

Step 2. In the About window, click the Check for Update button and select the Check for updates now option from the drop-down menu.

You will be redirected to a Duplicate Killer web page where you will see if an update is available. If an update is available, you will see download options.

Step 3. Click the Install Update button.

Step 4. A setup file will be downloaded. Wait for the download to finish and run the setup file when ready. If you cannot find where the setup was downloaded, press the CTRL+J combination in your browser to open the Downloads page.

Step 5. The setup will ask if you want to perform an upgrade of Duplicate Killer. Click the Yes button.

Step 6. Follow the setup wizard until the installation is complete.

Method #2

The second method involves uninstalling the old Duplicate Killer version via Apps and Features and then downloading and installing the latest Duplicate Killer version directly from the website.

Step 1. Uninstall the current 4Team Duplicate Killer application you have via Settings > Apps > Select 4Team Duplicate Killer application and Uninstall.

Step 2. Visit the Duplicate Killer website and click the Download button at the top of the page.

Step 3. On the Downloads page, click the Download now button.

Step 4. Close the Thank you for downloading the Duplicate Killer popup or subscribe if you haven't already.

Step 5. A setup file will be downloaded. 

Note: Duplicate Killer is a 32-bit application, which means it will only work with 32-bit Outlook.

Step 6. Run the installation file, follow the installation wizard and finish installing the Duplicate Killer application.

Tips:
