How to clean Google Contacts duplicates

Clean Google Contacts duplicates by following these steps:

Step 1. Open your browser and go to www.google.com/contacts. Login to your Google account, if required. 

Step 2. On the left side of the page click on Merge & fix button.

Step 3. Depending on the amount of duplicated contacts, it can take a while for Google to load the list. Once the list is loaded, the Merge all button can be clicked to start the duplicate cleanup process.

You can also merge individual contacts or click the Dismiss button next to each pair of duplicates to exclude them from being merged.

Step 4. After the first merge is done, refresh the Google Contacts page, click on Merge & fix button and check if Google can find any more contact duplicates to clean up. If there are large number of duplicates, you will need to repeat this process several times until Google cleans up all the contact duplicates.
